Background
Founded in 1936, The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) has been established to serve children and youth throughout different eras with its need-specific and community-based service in its comprehensive service network.
There are 75 BGCA community service units all over the territory; including Integrated Children and Youth Services Centres, Children Centres, Kindergartens, Small Group Homes, Youth Outreaching Social Work Teams, and Camp. Besides, BGCA also provides stationing school social work services and different kinds of special projects like “Trauma Treatment Service for Children and Youth” and organise annual agency event such as “Children Storytelling Competition”. BGCA also owns a registered social services centre in Guangzhou “Growth Dynamics”, which is certified as the key training centre for professional social workers by the Bureau of Civil Affairs of Guangzhou Municipality.

• To strengthen the functioning of families
• To raise parental and social awareness of our younger generation’s welfare, particularly of disadvantaged groups, and to strive for the rights to which they are entitled, through concerted efforts with service recipients and the general public.
