Background

The Emmanuel Community Library Centre (ECLC) is a Hong Kong-registered S88 NGO that has been serving the Kwong Yuen neighbourhood since its establishment in 2012. Founded by the Shatin Emmanuel Church, ECLC is dedicated to providing a wide range of community development and support services to individuals of all ages, from 3 to 100 years old. ECLC operates as a community centre, offering a diverse array of programs and initiatives that cater to the diverse needs of the community. These include but not limited to Neighbourhood Level Community Development Projects (NLCDP) funded by the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF), which aim to foster intergenerational social relationships and community cohesion.

Mission & Vision

The mission of the Emmanuel Community Library Centre is to promote intergenerational social relationships and community cohesion within the Kwong Yuen neighbourhood. ECLC is committed to encouraging the participation of individuals in solving community problems and improving the quality of community life. By providing a wide range of community development and support services, ECLC strives to empower residents and create a more inclusive and vibrant community.
