Background

Hong Kong Volunteer Rescue Association established in 2016, is a non-profit organization which formed by the volunteers with an interest in rescue. The association has been registered as a Society under the Societies Ordinance (Cap 151) and Charitable Organization under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112), and as Corporate Member of the Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management and Training Centre of by the Emergency Care & Safety Institute.

Mission & Vision

The objects for which the Association is established are for saving of lives, advancement of health and saving of animals for the benefit of the Hong Kong community. In furtherance of the Association’s objects, the Association, in addition to the provision of volunteer rescue service, has the following services: 1. To enhance the capabilities of the trained rescue volunteers by means of professional exchanges and experience sharing; 2. To maintains liaison with local, overseas and mainland counterparts and participates in various conferences and training to strengthen communication and share experience; 3. To promote emergency preparedness knowledge in community; and 4. To support humanirarian relief and disaster recovery operations when necessary.
