Remarks
Experienced staff will be on hand to make this an interesting and educational experience for volunteers. There will be a safety and instruction brief at the start, and a debrief at the end. Note there are no toilets or shops at the beach. Volunteers are expected to refrain from bringing single-use items to the beach, such as disposable plastic bottles, rain coats, etc. Directions: Take the 10:00 am ferry (or earlier) from Central Ferry Pier #3, or a DB03R bus from Sunny Bay station. At 10:25 am, all volunteers will meet outside the ferry pier in Discovery Bay. Use the toilet on the ferry or in the plaza. Upon arrival, let the staff know that you are with HandsOn Hong Kong. Be prepared to walk a further 10 mins to reach the beach. Please be reminded that volunteers cannot bring along a friend or family member who did not sign up for this event on the day. All volunteers must sign up for the session through this link. Volunteers will receive a detailed service reminder email one day before the event, along with a letter for the free ferry ticket.
