In this service, you will visit Hong Kong Bunny Rescue (HKBR)’s shelter in Tsuen Wan to understand the organization’s work and challenges ahead. You will assist HKBR staff in cleaning the shelter and cages; and have the chance to show love and care to the rescued bunnies. 兔子深受人們喜愛，不少人會飼養作為寵物。被棄養或被忽視的兔兔有少部份有幸得到香港救兔之家的幫助，獲得提供糧食、醫療、絕育及領養等機會和服務。你將會到香港救兔之家位於荃灣的兔舍，協助清潔兔舍及兔籠，藉此了解該機構的工作及所面對的挑戰。 Date: 30 Sep 2024 (Mon) Time: 2:30-5pm Gathering Time & Venue: 2:15pm @G/F, Wing Fung Industrial Building, 40-50 Sha Tsui Road

1. Volunteers should not be afraid of bunnies and should have no allergies to animals. 2. Volunteers should be ready to clean the rabbit shelter and animal excrement, and perform other duties as assigned by the association to ensure safety. 3. Casual wear, long pants and sneakers are recommended. Avoid wearing long sleeves but you can wear a jacket that you can take off when necessary as you may have to perform cleaning work. You may also bring an extra set of clean clothes for changing if needed. 4. [Penalty for withdrawal after 23 Sep and/or absence] This service is fully subsidized by Comfort Paws Program. If you are unable to participate in the program as scheduled, you should send us a written notification to connect@ust.hk no later than 23 Sep 2024 (Mon). Participants who withdraw from the Program after 23 Sep 2024 or are absent from the Program will be charged an HKD125 program fee. 5. [HMAW1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. To receive 2.5 hours, you must attend the event in full and miss no more than 10 mins. 6. Upon completion of the service, the actual service hours will be subjected to the confirmation of the partner association.
