Hong Kong is home to thousands of stay and abandoned cats on the street. Fortunately, some get rescued by the HK Saving Cat and Dog Association. With this service opportunity, you can visit their shelter in Tsuen Wan, where you will help feed the cats and support their regular cleaning. Join us to gain insight into the association's work and challenges they face. Most importantly, you'll have the chance to show your care and love to these rescued cats! 香港人多擠逼，同時亦住著成千上萬的流浪貓，更有市民遺棄的小動物，當中有不少受傷貓隻，有一部分有幸得到香港拯救貓狗協會援救，提供糧食、醫療、絕育及領養等服務。你會到協會位於荃灣的貓舍，協助清潔貓舍和貓籠、餵飼貓隻，藉此了解協會的工作及所面對的挑戰。 Date: 7 Nov 2024 (Thu) Time: 10am - 1pm Venue: Tsuen Wan

1. Volunteers should not be afraid of cats and should have no allergies to animals. 2. Volunteers should be ready to clean the cat shelter and animal excrement, and perform other duties as assigned by the association to ensure safety. 3. [Penalty for withdrawal after 29 Oct and/or absence] This service is fully subsidized by Comfort Paws Program. If you are unable to participate in the program as scheduled, you should send us a written notification to connect@ust.hk no later than 29 Oct 2024 (Tue). Participants who withdraw from the Program after 29 Oct 2024 or are absent from the Program will be charged an HKD135 program fee. 4. [HMAW1905] This is a recognized event in the "Self-directed Experience" component of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. To receive 2.5 hours, you must attend the event in full and miss no more than 10 mins. 5. Upon completion of the service, the actual service hours will be subjected to the confirmation of the partner association. 6. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email from connect@ust.hk, and will be able to find their application status listed as "Confirmed" on the Social Career portal/app.
